Job description
About Revent
Revent is an early-stage venture capital firm dedicated to supporting visionary founders who aim to build companies of lasting significance. The firm is committed to partnering with determined innovators who aspire to create impactful legacies beyond just unicorn status. Currently, Revent is deploying a new €112 million fund targeting approximately 40 early-stage startups focused on advancing AI and frontier technologies for a better collective future. Past investments include companies such as Avelios Medical and Tem Energy, with involvement from prominent investors across funding rounds.
Role Overview
We are seeking a full-time Associate to join our compact investment team based in Munich, with frequent engagements in Berlin and other European locations. This role offers high ownership and agency within the team and is a unique opportunity to engage deeply in both investment activities and firm development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate relationships with exceptional founders at the early stage using your personal network, research capabilities, and creative outreach methods.
- Assess founders' needs and provide tailored support to facilitate their journey.
- Conduct in-depth research to develop compelling investment theses that guide our funding decisions.
- Proactively contribute to expanding and enhancing the firm's value proposition.
- Use sound judgment and aesthetic insight to connect key stakeholders and foster meaningful interactions.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Exceptional intellectual curiosity and clarity of thought, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and implications effectively.
- A strong winner's mentality and resilience in facing competitive challenges, fueled by high energy and drive.
- A builder’s mindset eager to actively shape and grow a young venture firm.
- Passion for backing mission-driven companies that aim to solve significant global challenges.
- Commitment to excellence and continual self-improvement.
- A background in technical fields such as hard sciences, computer science, or AI is highly valued, along with prior exposure to startups or technology sectors through internships, projects, or academics.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work full-time in Germany; visa sponsorship is not available.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual remuneration ranges between €65,000 and €85,000, depending on experience. This includes a performance-based bonus and a carried interest component tied to the fund's success, which can constitute a significant portion of total earnings.
Application Process
This is an immediate hiring opportunity with rolling application reviews, so early applications are encouraged. The selection process includes:
- Initial cultural fit interviews with multiple team members.
- A case study assessment.
- An in-person meeting to confirm mutual fit.
Applicants should submit a LinkedIn profile link, two sentences explaining their motivation to pursue venture capital, and mention 1-2 standout pre-seed companies or founders encountered recently along with brief reasons for their interest.
