Team Description

The UK Financial Institutions Group (FIG) specializes in creating tailored solutions for European financial clients such as banks, insurance companies, asset managers, and exchanges, excelling in domestic and cross-border deals including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and capital market transactions.

Role Summary

As an Associate, you will support the execution of diverse transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets deals, and strategic advisory assignments. You will engage directly with senior financial professionals from large corporations and growing clients, contributing to business development and client relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and assist in executing corporate finance transactions including IPOs, M&A, and strategic advisory engagements.
• Conduct comprehensive financial and strategic analyses along with detailed industry research.
• Participate actively in team discussions and client meetings.
• Provide timely and accurate market insights to both colleagues and clients.
• Prepare and present compelling client presentations.
• Mentor junior analysts and foster a positive team environment.
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers within the team and other departments.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree or international equivalent in finance or a related field from a top university.
• Relevant investment banking experience in corporate finance or M&A is essential.
• Strong familiarity with the Financial Institutions Group sector and market landscape.
• Fluency in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities critical for success.
• Solid understanding of accounting, business valuation, and financial concepts.
