About the Role
Join PwC's Transformation Design & Delivery (TDD) team in Auckland and take a prominent leadership role in developing and executing some of New Zealand's most intricate and impactful transformation programs. This position offers an opportunity to progress beyond standard delivery roles into comprehensive transformation leadership by collaborating directly with senior client leaders to guide strategic directions, influence key outcomes, and manage large projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and governance for major transformation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and long-term benefits.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, offering expertise on program architecture, status, and performance; intervene in complex or troubled projects to stabilize and redirect efforts successfully.
- Develop and execute organizational and technological change initiatives to support widespread adoption and measurable business improvement.
- Contribute to the growth and evolution of the TDD practice by mentoring team members, refining methodologies, and aiding business development efforts.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships, uncover growth opportunities, and support the advancement of current and new projects.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability to support team wellbeing and improve working practices.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience (typically exceeding 10 years) managing complex transformation initiatives with proven measurable outcomes.
- Practical knowledge and application of delivery methodologies including Portfolio, Programme & Project Management (3PM), PRINCE2, PMI/PMBOK, and Agile frameworks such as SAFe, ICAgile, and Scrum.
- Strong capability to influence and engage executive-level stakeholders, affecting direction and decisions in sophisticated environments.
- Background in consulting or professional services, providing exposure to diverse clients, sectors, and transformational challenges.
- A leadership approach centered on team development, cultivating high performance, and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Commercial insight demonstrated through identifying opportunities, contributing to growth initiatives, and participating in business development activities.
