About the Role

The Capital Markets Transformation team plays a vital role in supporting the Front Office and various functional departments within Capital Markets by driving business-led transformations. This position is key in advancing transformation initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulations, which ultimately supports the sustainable success of RBC Capital Markets. The role provides essential portfolio management assistance, enabling senior team members to concentrate on strategic planning and high-level decisions.

Primary Duties

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Project Managers across Capital Markets to monitor and govern the project and program portfolio effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Management Offices throughout the enterprise to develop and implement uniform processes, standards, and controls for project delivery within Capital Markets.
  • Conduct regular portfolio health assessments, including tracking milestones, accomplishments, risks, and issues, and report findings in both formal meetings and informal updates.
  • Create presentation materials to clearly communicate portfolio status to key stakeholders and management as required.
  • Assist with administrative duties and perform data analysis tasks ensuring accuracy and promptness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • Between 3 to 5 years of pertinent work experience.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookups, and macros) and PowerPoint, particularly adept at crafting executive-level presentations.
  • Proven expertise in managing stakeholder relationships and engaging with diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-driven with the ability to proactively coordinate with various banking stakeholders independently to facilitate work.
  • Capable of juggling multiple priorities within a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment and providing guidance to colleagues.

Preferred Attributes

  • Familiarity with Capital Markets or previous experience in banking.
  • Experience leading projects or specific workstreams within projects.
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and tools.

Additional Information

  • Work location: Royal Bank Plaza, 200 Bay Street, Toronto, Canada.
  • Work hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week.
  • Full-time, salaried position.
