Role Opportunity

The Global Investment Banking division's Diversified Coverage team in Montreal is looking for an Analyst. This role offers a chance to broaden financial expertise and gain exposure to global capital markets, ideal for those aspiring to build a long-term investment banking career within a market-leading global platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess corporate clients' financial requirements and develop as well as maintain sophisticated financial models.
• Assist in structuring and executing transactions, with progressively increased responsibilities over time.
• Conduct financial and written analyses of companies and industries.
• Support client meetings and prepare presentations.
• Perform market trend research and analyze future business opportunities.
• Contribute to the execution of equity and debt financing deals, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Proficient bilingual communication skills in English and French to effectively serve clients and collaborate with colleagues nationwide.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, equity research, corporate development, or accounting.
• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline from a reputable university.
• Strong quantitative capabilities emphasizing financial analysis, accounting principles, and financial theory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced work environment.
• Demonstrated collaboration, relationship building, communication skills, integrity, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Competency in teamwork and capacity to perform well under strict deadlines.
• Well-rounded interests and involvement in extracurricular activities beyond academic pursuits.

• Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, P.Eng., or related designations are advantageous but not mandatory.
