Job description

Role Summary

The Associate Business Development Manager will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, building strategic partnerships, coordinating sourcing activities, and ensuring compliance with environmental standards in the plastics and recycling sector. The role involves collaboration with various internal teams to optimize service delivery and support sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed market analysis to identify potential stakeholders including recyclers, suppliers, industries, and new locations for business expansion.
  • Lead procurement and sales market research focusing on plastic materials such as PET, HDPE, LDPE, PP, HIPS, and ABS.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor behavior, and regulatory changes to develop effective commercial strategies.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts with aggregators, balers, and recyclers to meet procurement and sales objectives.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders aligning with company ethical sourcing standards.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, recyclers, and operations teams to ensure timely collection and movement of materials.
  • Manage collections and payments with vendors effectively.
  • Ensure compliance of all sourcing processes with relevant waste management laws and environmental regulations.
  • Drive supplier onboarding to meet WFTO compliance under the organization's ethical sourcing framework.
  • Collaborate across operations, logistics, finance, and technology departments to facilitate efficient service provision.
  • Support initiatives to improve processes and adopt new technologies within the marketplace.
  • Perform additional duties as required to contribute to effective organizational functioning.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree.
  • Have at least three years of experience related to plastics, sustainability, waste management, recycling, or similar sectors.
