Political Business Development Executive

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Political Business Development Executive to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be passionate about politics, public affairs, and governance, and will actively engage with political leaders and organizations across India. As a representative of LAA POLITI, you will focus on building strategic relationships with political parties, public representatives, and prospective election candidates to introduce our political consulting services and convert these connections into business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate contact and develop connections with both registered and unregistered political parties at state, district, and national levels.
• Engage with party leaders and office bearers to understand their organizational and electoral challenges.
• Present LAA POLITI’s comprehensive consulting services and identify avenues where these can add value.
• Build and maintain relationships with a range of political figures including Mukhiyas, Pramukhs, Zila Parishad Members, Councillors, Chairpersons, and Panchayat Representatives.
• Generate and nurture new business leads through calls, networking events, and field visits while managing a structured sales pipeline.
• Coordinate meetings between prospective clients and the senior consulting team and assist in converting leads into long-term engagements.
• Undertake extensive field visits to political offices, district and municipal areas, events, conferences, and networking programs as needed.
• Perform daily activities such as high-volume outbound calls, prospect research, client follow-ups, relationship management, service presentations, reporting, and documentation.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Excellent communication abilities with mandatory fluency in Hindi; proficiency in Bengali and English is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
• Confidence in engaging with senior political stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Proactive, target-driven approach with a professional demeanor and integrity.
• Basic understanding of Indian political systems and governance.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively as part of the role.

Eligibility

• Graduates of any discipline are encouraged; background in Political Science, Public Administration, Journalism, Law, Management, Sales, or Marketing is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with excellent communication skills are welcome to apply.
• Relevant experience in political consulting, sales, business development, field marketing, NGO outreach, or public affairs is an advantage.
