Department and Schedule

This position is within Wake Forest University Health Sciences - Academic Public Health Sciences: Epidemiology department, working full-time at 40 hours per week onsite in Winston-Salem, NC. The role reports directly to Dr. Lindsay Reynolds and Dr. Mara Vitolins.

Job Overview

With general supervision, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for administrative and coordination tasks focused on planning, executing, assessing, and reviewing the assigned Women's Health Initiative (WHI) project. The primary duty includes gathering outcome data from WHI study participants, reviewing medical records for those reporting key outcomes, preparing detailed case files for adjudication, and managing study documentation alongside team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Support all stages of project administration and coordination as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to study protocols in every aspect of the research.
• Act as a liaison and official representative for the project.
• Provide training, direction, and performance feedback to other study staff as needed.
• Take part in recruitment, data collection, and follow-up with participants.
• Help develop data collection methods; update and create study-related documentation including forms, manuals, and brochures.
• Generate reports as requested to support project progress.
• Offer guidance in data handling, oversee processing, and coordinate data analysis including quality control.
• Manage billing account files related to individual cases.
• Order and maintain sufficient project supplies.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Public Health, Basic Sciences, or a pertinent clinical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least one year of experience in survey research, including conducting interviews, supervising data collection, and training personnel.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with computerized data processing and statistical analysis.

Additional Information: Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $25.30 to $37.95, based on qualifications, experience, skills, and training.
