Role overview

American University of Sharjah’s School of Business Administration is seeking a full-time or visiting faculty member in Supply Chain Management at the Assistant Professor level. The appointment is planned for Fall 2026 (August), with the role based in Sharjah, UAE.

The successful faculty member will support the department through research, teaching, and service. Applicants from a broad range of SCM backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with particular interest in candidates whose expertise or teaching focus includes logistics and distribution, supply chain analytics, supply chain quality management, and service supply chains.

Qualifications

  • A PhD in Supply Chain Management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution, with preference given to North American universities.
  • Demonstrated potential for research, supported by promising scholarly output and/or published work.
  • Capability to teach both undergraduate and graduate-level courses.

The School of Business Administration serves more than 1,900 undergraduate and graduate students. Its business and management programs are highly ranked internationally, and the school has held AACSB accreditation since April 2011. The school offers undergraduate majors in accounting, economics, finance, information systems and business analytics, management, marketing, and supply chain management, along with graduate programs including MBA, Master of Business Data Analytics, Master of Science in Accounting, Master of Science in Economics and Policy, Master of Science in Finance, PhD in Finance, and PhD in Management.
