Role Overview

Indo Asia Heritage Coorg, a renowned hospitality company managing premium leisure resorts in Coorg, Karnataka, seeks an experienced Travel Trade Sales professional. The role focuses on leveraging strong networks within the travel fraternity to boost room night sales via established and new trade partners, primarily targeting the South Indian market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture connections with prominent Destination Management Companies (DMCs), tour operators, wholesalers, and travel agents.
  • Drive room bookings and revenue generation through the travel trade network specializing in leisure stays.
  • Identify potential new travel partners across Karnataka and broader South India and successfully onboard them.
  • Regularly conduct sales calls, market visits, partner engagement meetings, and organize product demonstrations.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts and annual rate agreements with travel partners to cement business relationships.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and yearly room night and revenue performance targets.
  • Organize hotel familiarization trips (FAM trips) and actively participate in travel trade fairs, roadshows, and exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with reservations and operations teams to ensure seamless guest experiences.
  • Track competitor actions, analyze market trends, and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Generate weekly sales performance reports, maintain an updated sales pipeline, and deliver insightful market intelligence.
  • Enhance partner relationships to encourage repeat bookings and increase market share.

Preferred Profile

  • 4 to 7 years of proven experience in Travel Trade Sales within the hospitality sector.
  • In-depth familiarity with the South Indian travel trade market, especially Bengaluru and Karnataka.
  • Solid background selling leisure hotels or resorts with an existing network among major DMCs, tour operators, travel agencies, and wholesalers.
  • Good knowledge of leisure travel dynamics, seasonal demand, and distribution channels.
  • Experienced in business generation for resort destinations through travel trade.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship building, and business development capabilities.
  • Willing to undertake extensive travel across South India and other key source markets.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with leisure resorts, boutique hotels, resort chains, and DMCs.
  • Exposure to hotel sales offices managing travel trade operations.

Educational Qualifications

  • Graduate in any field is mandatory.
  • Additional degrees or diplomas in Hospitality, Tourism, Hotel Management, or Marketing are advantageous.
