Role Overview
As a Management Consultant - Technology within KPMG, you will collaborate with clients to provide expert technology and consulting services. Your work will span technology operating model design, enterprise architecture, technology procurement, service design, strategic planning, and more. You'll engage in multiple projects, often working closely with peers across the Consulting division.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project streams and teams, offering expert guidance across a variety of engagements.
- Drive successful delivery of services, contribute to business development including proposal creation, and support growth through knowledge sharing and methodological improvements.
- Assess or design IT operating models and strategies for client organizations.
- Deliver project services for large transformation initiatives, including defining requirements, providing project management assistance, and supporting change management activities.
- Guide clients through comprehensive supplier selection processes culminating in procurement and contract finalization.
- Manage multiple projects with agility and meticulous attention to detail.
- Enhance KPMG's reputation through high-quality work, sound judgment, and innovative methods.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least four years of technology consulting experience, preferably within Tier 1 consulting firms.
- Relevant tertiary education credentials.
- Proven experience in nurturing long-term client relationships, securing new business, and expanding existing accounts.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by planning, project management, networking, and influencing capabilities.
- A positive, adaptable mindset eager to embrace challenges and development opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities to engage diverse stakeholders and foster collaborative team environments.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- A proactive, ownership-driven approach focused on practical, effective delivery.
- Capability to work confidently with Māori communities and incorporate frameworks such as Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Kaupapa Māori methodologies is a plus.
