We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team based in Auckland. This role centers on managing accounts receivable functions while delivering exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders. Your tasks will support the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers and some accounts payable, including supplier and staff accounts, to identify and resolve discrepancies and manage outstanding balances.
- Prepare and execute payment files and process cash receipts.
- Review and prepare financial documents such as invoices and staff expense claims, ensuring they are accurate and complete.
- Quickly and effectively respond to queries from creditors, debtors, and internal teams regarding billing, payments, and account details.
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with procurement-related activities as required.
- Suggest and implement improvements to boost efficiency and streamline processes.
- Provide backup support to other members of the accounts team when necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum one year of experience in administration or accounts receivable/accounts administration.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong numerical aptitude and excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all organizational levels.
- Professional, patient, team-oriented, and approachable demeanor in person and via telephone.
