Role Summary

As an Associate Director or Director, you will lead and expand our infrastructure economics capability, supporting large-scale projects especially in transport, water, and urban development sectors. Your work will blend high-quality economic modeling, quality assurance, and client engagement to transform complex economic concepts into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead economic analysis and provide expert guidance on infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee quality assurance of economic models and outputs before client delivery.
  • Engage directly with clients, presenting findings and collaborating on solutions.
  • Support strategy and policy development related to government infrastructure programmes.
  • Advise on investment decisions including benefit quantification, risk assessment, and scenario modeling.
  • Provide recommendations on infrastructure funding mechanisms and financing options based on economic beneficiaries.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 10 years’ experience applying economic frameworks to infrastructure projects, including demand forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and economic impact assessments.
  • A minimum of 3 years in leadership or final quality review roles for projects involving economic advice, covering policies, business cases, or infrastructure funding.
  • Proficiency with economic methodologies relevant to transport, water, and urban regeneration projects.
  • Skilled in data analysis and applying analytics tools for actionable economic insights.
  • Strong communication skills to simplify complex economic issues for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with government structures (Machinery of Government) preferred; private sector infrastructure finance experience also considered.
