Job description

Role Overview

Join the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to help shape the digital future of Singapore through the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative. Be part of a forward-thinking team within IMDA's Human Capital Cluster, working to create advanced ICT training programs in partnership with industry collaborators. This position requires dynamic involvement with various stakeholders to develop programs that boost Singapore's digital talent and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with technology employers, Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), trade associations, and professional bodies.
  • Collaborate with IMDA divisions and government agencies to design and implement workforce development initiatives.
  • Develop significant job opportunities and career pathways within the digital sector for Singaporean professionals.
  • Address manpower challenges in the industry through innovative partnership solutions.
  • Support the transformation of the ICT sector by spearheading collaborative workforce programs.
  • Design and oversee targeted workforce development programs, ensuring efficient delivery and compliance with policies and timelines.
  • Work alongside industry and government to monitor and enhance program effectiveness using data and evaluation.
  • Conduct ongoing market research and analysis around ICT and CET training landscapes, including industry trends and hiring practices.
  • Develop and recommend evidence-based human capital strategies to management based on market insights.
  • Conduct independent and team-based evaluations of project proposals aligning business, IMDA, and national interests.
  • Manage budgeting and financial tracking for projects within the team’s portfolio, ensuring accountability and KPIs achievement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in industry engagement, manpower development, and program management.
  • Educational background in Business, Information Technology, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent disciplines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a capacity for problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, including business writing and presentations; experience in business development is an advantage.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with limited supervision.
  • Previous experience in civil or public service is considered beneficial.
