Role Overview

The Assistant Director (Personnel Management) at the Joint Intelligence Command (JIC) is charged with overseeing career progression and performance evaluations of vocationalists within the Command. This role encompasses managing force readiness, recruitment, skill development, and engagement across JIC and its associated formations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee career trajectories and succession planning for Military Intelligence Experts (MIEs), facilitating cross-functional assignments throughout headquarters, formations, and other SAF units.
• Handle course nominations linked to career advancement and Routes of Advancement (ROA).
• Develop and maintain the performance management system.
• Administer promotion and ranking processes within the Command.
• Detect manpower shortfalls and forecast future personnel needs.
• Coordinate allocation of resources and personnel deployment to meet operational demands.

Challenges

• Gain comprehensive insight into manpower policies, procedures, and career progression intricacies affecting personnel within the Command.
• Stay well-informed about intelligence sectors to properly evaluate operational staffing needs and maintain balanced, high-quality personnel deployment.

Candidate Profile

• Possession of a degree or education in Human Resources or related disciplines.
• Preferred minimum of six years experience in manpower planning, career management, or HR operations.
• Exemplary leadership capabilities combined with strong problem-solving aptitude and adeptness in stakeholder relations.
• Effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Capacity for independent work and competence under pressure to meet deadlines.
