Your Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure all team members consistently uphold the brand promise and deliver exceptional guest service, including excellent support to internal customers across divisions.
- Engage directly with guests and monitor associate interactions, providing coaching to enhance guest service skills.
- Promptly address and resolve all guest and internal service complaints efficiently.
- Maintain positive and cooperative relationships with guests and colleagues alike.
- Optimize workforce productivity through multi-skilling, flexible scheduling, and multitasking to meet financial targets and guest expectations.
- Operate each profit center to maximize profitability without compromising brand standards and guest experience.
- Manage cost centers to ensure minimal expenses while maintaining high standards.
- Contribute to preparation of the Food and Beverage Annual Business Plan and monthly financial reforecasts with department heads.
- Proactively control costs using key performance indicators and adhere to all financial, regulatory, and licensing policies.
- Assist in inventory management and upkeep of operating equipment, focusing on items with high usage such as chinaware and glassware.
- Participate actively in yield and revenue management meetings to optimize pricing and increase profits in restaurants and events.
- Oversee beverage program including recipe development, inventory control, and menu innovation.
- Review uniform replacement plans and coordinate upgrades with the Director of Food and Beverage.
- Prepare, review, and update departmental operations manuals ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for key associates, supporting their professional development and ensuring cascading reviews down the teams.
- Support the development and delivery of department training programs alongside Training Manager and department trainers.
- Lead regular divisional communications and ensure effective departmental meetings and briefings.
- Manage the Food & Beverage division operations in the absence of the Director.
- Collaborate with culinary teams to meet operational needs and provide necessary feedback.
- Assist in developing and implementing the Annual Marketing Plan, broken down by department.
- Continuously monitor market trends locally and internationally to ensure competitiveness and innovation.
- Encourage department heads to seek marketing and public relations opportunities to enhance brand awareness and business growth.
- Align Food and Beverage activities with corporate strategies, ensuring appropriate implementation at the hotel level.
- Ensure minimum and optional brand standards are consistently applied across the division.
- Monitor operations especially during peak times, making adjustments through department heads as required.
- Implement and maintain food and beverage fundamentals and respond effectively to consumer feedback.
- Foster collaboration and teamwork across departments to support overall hotel success and guest satisfaction.
- Keep associates informed about seasonal and new market products.
- Regularly taste and assess food and beverage offerings, providing constructive feedback.
- Supervise associate punctuality, appearance, and uniform standards to maintain high grooming and hygiene standards.
- Provide support in outlets during managerial absences.
