Job description
Role Overview
As the Assistant Director overseeing National Service (NS) Relations & Engagement within the NS Brigade, you will be responsible for comprehensive management of all NS-related matters. This includes deployment coordination, engagement activities, leadership succession planning, training supervision, and administrative oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with various agencies to address and resolve HR and administrative concerns raised by NS personnel.
- Oversee critical HR functions like succession planning, allocation of resources, course administration, and conducting performance appraisals.
- Organize and facilitate engagement initiatives targeted at NS units to foster better relations and coordination.
- Coordinate and manage In Camp Training (ICT) schedules and processes with training institutions before, during, and after training periods.
- Assist Brigade operational activities through effective liaison with Division and Brigade operations teams.
Challenges
- Handle varied demands and inquiries from NSmen and NS units efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Exhibit initiative and flexibility by independently managing emergent situations and adapting to changing circumstances.
Candidate Requirements
- Academic background in Human Resources or related disciplines.
- Minimum six years’ experience in HR administration, operations, or training functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with NS personnel and senior NS commanders.
- Capability to operate autonomously and adjust readily to diverse situations.
