Overview
A banking organisation in Dublin city centre is hiring an Assistant Accountant to join a compact finance team. The business supports the corporate sector and is recruiting because of an internal reorganisation. This is a broad, hands-on finance position with varied responsibilities and direct support from senior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle month-end close activities and reporting.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Complete statutory reporting requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for the annual audit.
- Manage bank accounts and related controls.
- Perform complex account reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable transactions.
- Support accounts receivable activities.
- Ensure tax and statutory compliance obligations are met.
- Assist with annual audit preparation and coordination.
- Contribute to finance-related projects.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in a fast-moving role is important; exposure to financial services is an advantage.
- A part-qualified accounting background is preferred.
- You should be comfortable working in a busy environment.
- Strong IT proficiency is required.
- Good communication skills are essential.
