Role overview
Experts Group International is hiring a mid-level Accountant for a manufacturing business in Eberswalde, Brandenburg, Germany. This is an onsite, full-time position suited to someone who is detail-driven, comfortable working in German, and familiar with German GAAP (HGB). Responsibilities
- Check incoming vendor invoices for correctness and compliance before processing.
- Handle both manual and system-based postings to the general ledger, including fixed asset entries.
- Enter bank movements, grant-related transactions, and other financial activity.
- Process travel expense claims and reconcile corporate credit card statements.
- Book outgoing invoices connected to other operating income.
- Work with suppliers to clear up invoice mismatches and related issues.
- Support month-end closing activities and the preparation of annual financial statements.
- Compile statistical reports and assist with internal reporting needs.
- Review management costs and outgoing payments for reporting and analysis.
Requirements
- A completed university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably gained in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong command of German GAAP (HGB).
- Good Microsoft Office skills; experience with MS Dynamics will be considered an advantage.
- Fluency in German and English proficiency at B2 level or above.
- Knowledge of Polish, Ukrainian, or Russian is a plus.
- A careful, organized, and proactive approach to finance work, with strong attention to detail.
