Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Area Business Manager focused on Oncology who will independently spearhead business expansion in their designated territory. This individual contributor role demands strong scientific knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the capability to influence clinical decisions through evidence-based dialogues.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for oncology pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and healthcare equipment.
- Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities with hospitals, cancer centers, oncology clinics, and institutions.
- Develop and implement territory business plans for maximum market penetration and customer coverage.
- Promote products using scientific, value-driven selling approaches.
- Build lasting relationships with customers fostering sustainable growth.
- Lead scientific engagement through planning and delivering interactions with healthcare professionals including oncologists, surgeons, pharmacists, and nursing staff.
- Present clinical data, treatment guidelines, pharmacoeconomic evidence to support product adoption.
- Establish connections with Key Opinion Leaders and conduct scientific meetings, CME programs, journal clubs, and case discussions.
- Promote oncology medical devices and technologies, provide demonstrations, and facilitate product training and post-sales support.
- Gather and analyze market data, competitive activity, customer insights to guide business strategy.
- Ensure compliance with ethical promotional practices and maintain accurate CRM and sales reporting.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 1-3 years' experience in pharmaceutical, oncology, medical devices, diagnostics, or healthcare equipment sales, preferably involving oncology or specialty products.
- Proven individual contributor with success meeting sales goals in hospital and institutional settings.
- Strong scientific selling skills, familiarity with clinical studies and medical literature.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and independent working capabilities.
- Experience with CRM tools and MS Office suite.
