Role Overview
The Investment Analyst will be an integral member of the European investment and asset management team. This position involves analyzing real estate investment opportunities, conducting market and transaction research, and assisting senior investment professionals with deal execution. The role will also evolve to include portfolio management tasks, such as lease review, reporting, hold/sell decision-making, redevelopment projects, and refinancing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses of various real estate assets, including cash flow modeling, financing, tax assumptions, IRRs, and sensitivity assessments.
- Analyze real estate market data, economic indicators, and public company financials for valuation and operational benchmarking purposes.
- Prepare detailed investment committee memos and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members, external advisors, and cross-regional colleagues in Singapore and Toronto within a small, flat team structure.
Candidate Profile
- Proficient in English; additional proficiency in French or German is advantageous.
- Up to one year of experience in investment or financial analysis, preferably within the European real estate market, ideally from investment banking or real estate investment funds.
- Strong analytical, technical, and valuation capabilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in preparing presentations, conducting research, and coordinating due diligence processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for building professional relationships and networks within the industry.
- Self-motivated team player, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
