Business Data Analyst - Singapore Consumer Banking

Role Overview

The position involves designing, constructing, and maintaining the Consumer Banking Singapore DataMart to guarantee data integrity, reliability, and uniformity. Documenting the data catalog will also be a key responsibility for easy accessibility and reference. The role requires optimizing processes, automating tasks, and designing DataMart architecture.

Data Analysis and Insight Generation

• Extract, clean, and analyze data to enable informed business decisions.
• Identify trends and patterns through data evaluation to assist strategic efforts.
• Produce routine and specialized reports tracking performance indicators and business results.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to gather data needs and offer analytical support.

Management Reporting and Dashboarding

• Develop and maintain dashboards monitoring critical KPIs and metrics.
• Automate reporting workflows for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare detailed management reports that underscore business performance and trends.

Decision Support and Collaboration

• Partner closely with stakeholders to grasp data requirements and deliver customized analytical solutions.
• Assist in constructing data-backed business cases supporting strategic initiatives.
• Translate analytic findings into actionable recommendations to aid decision-making.
• Participate in advancing data processes and reporting frameworks.

Innovation and Industry Awareness

• Keep abreast of industry best practices, regulatory updates, and trends in banking and wealth management to seek innovation opportunities and maintain competitive edge.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least three years of experience in data analytics, particularly in the banking sector's Consumer Business domain.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Strong expertise with analytics tools including SQL, Python, R, and SAS.
• Experienced using data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Excel for data manipulation.
• Ability to swiftly and effectively solve problems.
• Excellent analytical capabilities coupled with strong communication and presentation skills geared towards non-technical audiences.

Additional Information
