Ambassador - Patient Transport at Centra Health

Job Overview

The Ambassador position entails escorting and guiding patients and visitors promptly and safely to their designated locations within the hospital, prioritizing exceptional customer service and satisfaction in every interaction. This role collaborates with various departments throughout Centra Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to patients and visitors across all hospital areas.
• Take primary charge of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the patient transportation system at Centra Health.
• Identify and develop effective solutions to address transportation challenges within the facility.
• Deliver appropriate care tailored to infants, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients; recognize and report any changes or irregularities in patient conditions.
• Communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels to share information and ideas.
• Manage and resolve conflicts involving staff, patients, or visitors with appropriate intervention.
• Perform additional assigned duties as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or an equivalent certification is required.
• Must obtain Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid certification within six months of employment.

Compensation

The hourly wage ranges between $15.90 and $22.26.
