Role overview
The Airport Traffic Officer supports parking operations at Pensacola Airport by helping manage vehicle flow, enforcing local parking rules, and assisting travelers with parking-related needs. The position is based in Pensacola, FL and offers $15.00 to $16.00 per hour. It is available in both full-time and part-time morning shift schedules.
Responsibilities
- Direct vehicles and help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
- Enforce local parking ordinances while providing operational support.
- Assist customers with parking questions and related needs.
- Handle complaints in line with company policies and procedures.
- Support special assignments and project work when needed.
- Take on additional job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience is required.
- At least 6 months of outdoor work experience is needed.
- Working knowledge of streets and directions is required.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to adapt to changing situations are important.
- Applicants should be comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to understand and follow policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
- Strong urgency, punctuality, and decision-making skills are needed.
- Must be open to feedback and different perspectives.
- Ability to handle difficult and emotionally charged situations.
- English speaking, reading, and comprehension are required.
- Security background is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness to work outdoors in heat, wind, rain, or snow.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and run for most of the shift, with no sitting allowed.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently during the shift.
