About the Role

The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) is seeking an AI Transformation Manager for a 12-month freelance contract to spearhead a critical initiative. DCT Abu Dhabi aims to become an AI-first organization, and this role is central to that vision. The manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and fostering the adoption of AI-driven workflows, tools, and methodologies to enhance organizational productivity, quality, decision-making, and overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate strategic objectives into actionable AI-enabled workflows and operational models.
  • Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across various departments.
  • Develop and deploy AI-assisted workflows and automation solutions using approved enterprise platforms.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into daily business processes, including reporting, analysis, and document management.
  • Establish governance frameworks for responsible, secure, and effective AI utilization.
  • Continuously optimize AI workflows based on user feedback and performance data.
  • Drive AI adoption initiatives and support the organization's transformation agenda.
  • Define and implement AI operating procedures, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct impact assessments to identify further AI integration opportunities.
  • Develop metrics to measure AI adoption, productivity improvements, and business impact.
  • Lead AI capability building through training programs, workshops, and coaching.
  • Create user guides, prompt libraries, and knowledge-sharing resources.
  • Foster a culture of experimentation and continuous learning around AI.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for AI support and user enablement.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in AI implementation, digital transformation, automation, or enterprise technology consulting.
  • Proven experience in translating business requirements into practical AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience working within regulated or enterprise technology environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to define goals, manage implementation, and deliver tangible results.
  • Strong understanding of AI tools, automation technologies, and workflow design principles.
  • Proficiency in structured thinking, problem-solving, and business process redesign.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, bridging technical and business teams.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly governed work environments.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and training capabilities.
  • A proactive, hands-on, and results-oriented approach.
  • Exposure to enterprise AI implementation, workflow automation, and AI adoption initiatives.
  • Experience developing AI copilots, agents, prompts, templates, and automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with change management and digital transformation programs.
  • Experience in designing and delivering user enablement and upskilling programs.
  • Understanding of AI governance, compliance, security, and responsible AI frameworks.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in platforms like Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, OpenAI tools/APIs, or similar AI ecosystems.

Definition of Success

Success in this role will be measured by delivered outcomes and quantifiable business impact, including metrics such as time saved, processes automated, cost reductions, and adoption rates.
