This role translates strategic goals into actionable plans, spearheads the execution of key programs, and develops governance frameworks to track progress and outcomes. It requires synthesizing data, insights, and stakeholder input to promote evidence-based decisions and ongoing improvements in allied health services. Registered therapists, social workers, or psychologists who remain active clinical practitioners may dedicate up to 20% of their work time to direct clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and contribute to shaping CAHO’s strategic direction for allied health service delivery and clinical governance.
- Lead change management initiatives to facilitate the implementation of new policies and programs.
- Assist in the development and execution of allied health strategies, standard operating procedures, and frameworks.
- Work closely with Service Division Directors and Allied Health Professional Heads to optimize patient care models and professional practices.
- Forge and enhance partnerships across divisions to improve service quality and encourage innovation.
- Prepare briefing documents, reports, and presentations for senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives and assess key performance indicators.
- Supervise and coordinate projects and programs under CAHO’s jurisdiction, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and define expected outcomes.
- Organize and facilitate meetings, committees, and working groups related to allied health services.
- Manage priorities and competing demands to maintain operational efficiency.
- Support budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation processes as needed.
- Represent the organization at industry events and actively participate in sector forums and professional communities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, Allied Health, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in healthcare, social services, or allied health service management.
- Strong expertise in strategic planning, project management, monitoring and evaluation, including data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with a talent for collaboration across professional disciplines.
