This position involves conceiving innovative AI-driven capabilities to organize and enrich Netflix’s expanding content catalog, building intelligent automation systems for catalog operations, and working closely with researchers and engineers on scalable AI applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the long-term AI strategy for content catalog and metadata management products.
- Guide the product vision, focusing on machine learning models that enhance structuring and interpretation of content data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to create AI-powered solutions for catalog operation challenges.
- Identify cutting-edge AI methods for improving content understanding, cataloging, and asset management systems.
- Drive the product lifecycle from concept to deployment, coordinating closely with applied researchers, data scientists, and engineers.
- Communicate complex AI strategies clearly across non-technical audiences and align stakeholders.
- Apply data-driven and hypothesis-based approaches to set priorities, validate ideas, and measure product impact.
Desired Qualifications
- Over seven years of product management experience with a successful history of launching significant products or platforms.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of machine learning methodologies and evaluation techniques.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards common objectives.
- Experience managing entire ML/AI product lifecycles, including deployment of large language models and model customization.
- Practiced in aspects of ML such as data acquisition, labeling, and performance evaluation.
- Strong skills in leveraging data analytics for product prioritization and impact measurement.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bonus: Experience with internal tooling, B2B platforms, or content metadata and understanding technologies such as NLP and language models.
Additional Information - Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is from $400,000 to $640,000 annually, reflecting a structure without bonuses but with customizable allocations between salary and stock options. Netflix offers robust benefits including health plans, mental health services, 401(k) with matching, stock options, disability and life insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, family benefits, and paid leave. Full-time hourly employees receive 35 paid days off annually while salaried employees enjoy flexible time off immediately.
