Job description
About Verto Health
Verto Health is a health technology company addressing complex challenges in healthcare data fragmentation and interoperability. Its patented AI-enabled platform consolidates data from various electronic health records, claims, and payer systems to provide a unified, actionable view of patient populations. The company supports health systems and value-based care organizations across North America by translating clinical insights into personalized journeys, automated workflows, and risk adjustments, enabling providers to improve operational efficiency and deliver proactive care at scale.
Role Overview
This leadership role involves overseeing product management and platform delivery operations to scale and standardize the deployment of Verto's platform across healthcare systems. Leading a team of Product Managers and Technical Delivery Leads, the role coordinates efforts across product, engineering, go-to-market, and business development functions to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of software releases. Reporting to the CIO, this position blends strategic ownership of product roadmaps and P&L with operational responsibility for delivery processes and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product portfolio strategy balancing customer needs, market trends, technical investments, and commercial goals.
- Set and prioritize development roadmaps aligned with measurable outcomes and market demand.
- Lead and develop a team of product and delivery leaders, establishing standards for release quality, speed, and cost.
- Create and maintain repeatable release delivery models including playbooks, templates, and standards to improve scalability.
- Maintain rigorous product risk and quality management practices with audit readiness and risk tracking.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure coordinated product and delivery strategies with sales, marketing, and implementation teams.
- Drive product lifecycle management focused on deployability, operability, and efficiency through standardized delivery practices.
- Champion AI integration in operational workflows to automate manual tasks and enhance risk detection and resource allocation.
- Oversee resource allocation and budget management, monitoring utilization and forecasting financial needs.
- Chair the Product Release Committee and represent product delivery in governance forums.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Preferred PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Over 8 years of experience in product technology, including 5+ years managing complex ICT products, ideally in healthcare.
- Proven leadership managing managers and delivery teams, with influence over senior stakeholders.
- Experience standardizing software implementations into repeatable, scalable deployments.
- Background in regulated software environments with audit compliance like ISO 9001, HIPAA, or Canadian health privacy laws.
- Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project methodologies tailored for AI development cycles.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Google Workspace, and AI tools integration.
- Desirable: domain experience with clinical NLP, health data interoperability standards (HL7/FHIR, IPS), and healthcare reimbursement models.
- Strong communicator and collaborative leader able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Performance Metrics
- Increase in productized deployment standardization reducing bespoke implementation efforts.
- Improved delivery efficiency reflected by reduced effort and resource use per deployment.
- Shorter time-to-value for customers onboarding productized solutions.
- High deployment readiness with on-time releases and minimized post-launch issues.
- Strong product adoption, engagement, and expansion correlated to roadmap execution.
Work Environment
- Remote-first role for candidates located anywhere in Ontario, Canada.
- In-person team days in downtown Toronto office at least monthly, with optional office use otherwise.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range of CAD 150,000 to 180,000 based on experience and qualifications.
- Comprehensive benefits including health and dental coverage, paid time off, professional development support, and flexible work arrangements.
