Role Overview
The Vice President of Infrastructure will helm the strategic direction, governance, and operational management of the global infrastructure unit. This role ensures the continuous delivery of dependable, secure, and resilient technology services by overseeing infrastructure operations, including data centers, networks, workplace technologies, cloud environments, and IT service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement the enterprise-wide infrastructure and cloud strategy, setting visionary goals aligned with corporate objectives, business needs, and transformation initiatives.
- Lead a diverse, multifunctional technology group that delivers infrastructure and shared services across various business units, guaranteeing strategic synergy, operational effectiveness, and dependable service outcomes.
- Provide executive oversight for global infrastructure functions, including 24/7 service provision, data center management, and technical support teams.
- Maintain operational excellence by leveraging ITIL-based frameworks, proactive system monitoring, leadership in service availability, business continuity, support efficiency, and vendor management.
- Oversee identification, evaluation, and mitigation of technology risks, directing enterprise security programs in compliance with organizational standards.
- Ensure mission-critical business systems are supported with proven disaster recovery plans that preserve operational resilience and service continuity.
- Drive workforce planning, talent cultivation, succession strategies, and initiatives to sustain a cooperative and high-performing infrastructure team.
- Promote a culture emphasizing continuous improvement, operational discipline, and innovation within infrastructure, data center, network, workplace, and cloud services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
- At least ten years of ascending experience in senior technology leadership roles within complex, matrixed enterprises.
- Proven success in large-scale IT leadership, including budget management, investment planning, forecasting, vendor oversight, and cost control initiatives.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary, distributed technology organizations and building effective leadership teams.
- Expertise in infrastructure, cloud, network, workplace, and data center operations with strong grounding in industry best practices and governance methodologies.
- Hands-on experience leading cloud transformation projects and overseeing cloud migration and management.
- Strong business partnership skills to align technology strategies with organizational objectives and transformative efforts.
- Track record of initiatives that reduce technical debt, enhance operational performance, boost efficiency, and optimize investments in technology.
- Successful management of strategic vendor relationships, including contracts, licensing, maintenance, and service provider performance.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity, technology risk management, continuity planning, and organizational resilience.
- Effective leadership qualities to inspire teams, tackle complex challenges, foster stakeholder relationships, and improve organizational results.
- Adeptness in implementing change management and driving adoption of novel technologies, strategies, and workflows.
- Demonstrated active engagement in virtual contexts, maintaining presence in remote meetings to facilitate communication and team cohesion.
