Job description
Role overview
Aldar Education is hiring an Admissions Officer (UAE National) in Abu Dhabi to support its expanding network of owned, operated, and managed schools. The role is centered on handling the full admissions journey for prospective families while contributing to a welcoming, student-focused school environment.
The organization is one of Abu Dhabi’s leading education groups, serving learners from nursery through adult education across multiple campuses and curricula. It has grown from a single school with 250 students in 2007 to a large education network supporting more than 38,000 students in 31 schools, along with nearly 5,000 educators and a range of supporting services.
The position supports the wider mission of helping the next generation develop the skills and confidence to shape the future, in line with Abu Dhabi’s educational goals and the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.
What the role involves
The Admissions Officer is responsible for managing enquiries, guiding parents through admissions steps, coordinating assessments, and keeping student admission records accurate and up to date. The role also involves representing the school professionally, supporting tours and events, and working closely with internal teams to strengthen enrolment and retention.
Main responsibilities
- Oversee the complete admissions process for the assigned school, starting from initial enquiry and continuing through enrolment and registration.
- Meet prospective parents and clearly explain the admissions procedure, curriculum, fee details, ADEK requirements, and necessary documentation.
- Reply to calls, emails, and enrolment enquiries quickly and professionally.
- Arrange or carry out student assessments with the academic team when needed so the admissions process runs smoothly.
- Handle leads, assess enquiry quality, and serve as the first contact point for interested parents.
- Support school tours as part of the Front of House team and ensure they are delivered to a high standard for parents and visitors.
- Keep admissions data accurate and current, including enquiries, registrations, applications in progress, offers, and enrolments.
Additional duties
- Maintain and monitor the waiting list where relevant, keeping parents informed and ensuring vacancies can be filled quickly.
- Prepare and update admissions files for both new and continuing students.
- Stay current with ADEK rules and make sure the enrolment and registration process remains compliant.
- Ensure parent-facing spaces remain tidy, attractive, and welcoming.
- Attend ELT meetings when required and provide updates on admissions activity.
- Build awareness of the local education market, including enrolment trends and competitor schools.
- Work with the PRE to identify approaches that support new enrolments and student retention.
- Manage re-enrolment activity with the PRE and provide regular updates to the Head of Enrolments and Principal.
- Prepare weekly and monthly enrolment reports and projections for the Head of Enrolments when the registrar is unavailable.
- Attend networking activities that help promote the school.
- Help organize and participate in enrolment events.
- Develop strong relationships with feeder nurseries and schools.
- Represent Aldar Education’s values, ethos, and standards to all prospective families.
- Carry out other tasks assigned by direct or dotted-line managers and supervisors.
Qualifications and experience
A bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a customer-focused role within the region, along with prior exposure to data management. Experience in the education sector is preferred.
Skills and knowledge
The role calls for excellent spoken and written English, strong interpersonal abilities, and confident office management skills. Arabic fluency is preferred. Because the position involves frequent interaction with families from diverse backgrounds, the candidate should be comfortable communicating in a multicultural setting.
What is offered
Aldar Education offers a competitive package that includes medical coverage, flights, housing, and free school places for children. The organization also places strong emphasis on professional growth through coaching, training, and development opportunities, with access to a broad professional network.
