Key Responsibilities

• Manage the provision of facilities and general operational services across the school, promoting a service-oriented culture with efficient allocation of staff and resources.
• Maintain the school’s facilities to exemplary standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety, ensuring that support teams perform effectively.
• Oversee accommodation provisions for staff, ensuring compliance with school requirements and Aldar Education housing policies.
• Manage cost-effective purchasing and contracting in alignment with budgets, policies, and school growth plans.
• Supervise repairs and maintenance activities, including inspections, engagement of external contractors compliant with procurement policies, and quality assurance of completed works.
• Ensure consistent security and operational efficiency of the school campus, buildings, and grounds adhering to health and safety norms and daily inspections by site services.
• Implement policy frameworks, systems, and student safeguarding protocols in coordination with Aldar Education headquarters.
• Plan and resource school-based events and activities efficiently.
• Coordinate essential services like catering, security, cleaning, transport, waste management, and recycling, acting as the primary contact for external providers.
• Assist in utilizing and optimizing school space and resources, including support in premises reorganization.
• Oversee daily monitoring of building management systems (BMS) and alert systems by the site services team.
• Assist the Operations Site Manager (OSM) and Group Housing Manager in maintaining Aldar Education accommodation standards.
• Serve as the designated Incident Commander, available beyond regular hours to respond to critical incidents per Aldar protocols.
• Lead external support teams ensuring fulfillment of contractual obligations, resource adequacy, and superior service delivery to the school community.
• Manage and develop the facilities and general services staff through training, professional development, and performance appraisals to foster a high-achieving team.
• Oversee relevant budgets and monitor expenditures, ensuring financial prudence and optimal value for facilities-related services.
• Explore and support shared resource and service opportunities across partner schools to enhance efficiency and access.
• Ensure adherence to purchasing policies and delegation of authority processes.
• Guarantee compliance with local governmental regulations to prevent penalties related to contract renewals.
• Complete all internal and external audit requirements promptly and satisfactorily.
• Promote a proactive health and safety culture among teams, ensuring the school meets current legislation and guidelines.
• Monitor contractors’ and suppliers’ compliance with health and safety regulations within the school.
• Support environmental objectives in collaboration with the OSM, ensuring timely achievements.
• Ensure the timely and appropriate completion of all health, safety, and environmental audits.
