About the Role
Philipps-Universität Marburg, founded in 1527, is a distinguished institution offering acclaimed education to approximately 22,000 students and engaging in cutting-edge research across various scientific disciplines. The Department of Medicine, specifically the Institute for Lung Research, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join their team. This is a part-time position (65% of regular working hours) for a fixed term of 12 months, commencing as soon as possible. The position is classified under pay grade E 13 of the collective agreement for the state of Hesse (TV-H), with the exact grading dependent on qualifications and fulfillment of tariff requirements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the reapplication process for a collaborative research grant focused on lung and infectious diseases (DZL, DZIF).
- Prepare scientific publications and presentations.
- Organize meetings and status updates.
- Manage public relations activities and maintain social media accounts.
Requirements
- Completed scientific university degree (Diplom, Master, or equivalent), preferably in modern infection or immune biology.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing project proposals and scientific publications.
- Proficiency in Office, internet, and multimedia applications, as well as Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Experience with various print and online media.
- Ability to work independently, strong teamwork skills, and excellent communication abilities.
