Role Overview

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is seeking an Administrative Assistant IV to join the Psychiatry and Behavioral Health department at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine. This vital leadership team member supports multiple accredited fellowship programs by assisting Program Directors and Associate Program Directors with program management and direction. The role involves coordinating various programmatic functions such as long-term planning, recruitment, project management, database oversight, and communications with faculty, fellows, residents, and students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support multiple fellowship programs, each with distinct requirements, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Program Directors in evaluating, assessing, and managing program responsibilities.
  • Coordinate communications across faculty, fellows, residents, medical students, and departments for smooth information flow.
  • Assist in recruitment, project development, and program implementation efforts.
  • Maintain and manage databases relevant to fellowship programs and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment.
  • Four years of progressively responsible experience in administrative or program support roles, including secretarial duties, coordination between management and teams, staff supervision, or researching internal and external information sources.
  • Alternatively, one year of experience serving as an Administrative Assistant III within Nevada State service or an equivalent blend of education and experience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting salary of $50,153.76 at Grade 29 Step 1 according to Nevada Administrative Code guidelines.
