Job description

Job Overview

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the revenue accounting processes, ensuring all invoices are accurately and promptly documented in compliance with company accounting policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations and task allocation within the revenue team.
  • Enhance billing workflows to eliminate revenue leakage and improve efficiency.
  • Verify that discounts or special pricing are authorized according to the Delegation of Authority (DOA) and applied correctly.
  • Review and approve credit notes ensuring proper authorization and application against invoices.
  • Address customer billing concerns and uphold assigned credit limits.
  • Conduct revenue reconciliation and validation between Oracle and integrated systems.
  • Generate detailed revenue reports and analyses for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all billable items in Oracle and other systems are correctly recorded and mapped to appropriate General Ledger codes.
  • Monitor and regulate IT access privileges for relevant personnel.
  • Participate in both internal and external audits, ensuring audit completeness and compliance.
  • Meet team and individual KPIs, contributing positively towards targets.
  • Serve as a business partner for the KP Region, Corporate, and Marine Services.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records of financial transactions and ensure accurate reflection in financial systems.
  • Collaborate with IT for Oracle system configurations related to data integration for invoicing processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Ability to interpret and consistently apply company policies and procedures without bias.
  • Proficient English communication skills (speaking and reading).
  • Knowledge of Arabic or other languages is advantageous.
  • A minimum of six years’ experience in accounting, finance, or documentation within transportation or a related sector.
  • Sound understanding of medium-level accounting principles and transactions.
  • Extensive understanding of port operations and business.
