Role Overview

As an Accountant based in Ahmedabad, you will oversee the financial operations of the organization, with a focus on maintaining precise financial records and facilitating efficient accounting practices. Your work will involve close collaboration with various departments and external partners to uphold the company’s standards for accuracy and transparency in its financial dealings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, including maintaining the general ledger and recording transactions.
• Issue and track invoices, monitor receivables and payables, and ensure accurate bookkeeping.
• Perform regular bank statement reconciliations and participate in monthly and year-end closings.
• Assist with local tax compliance, including GST filings and the preparation of necessary documentation.
• Prepare standard financial reports for management review and support external audits as needed.
• Keep well-organized documentation of all financial data and support the improvement of finance-related processes.
• Ensure all operations adhere to company policy and relevant financial regulations.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
• High proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, and strong MS Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of local taxation, GST regulations, and compliance reporting processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong numerical skills for maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work independently, and meet deadlines within a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a similar field preferred.
• Previous experience in accounting, ideally within manufacturing, trading, or textiles, is advantageous.
• Must be able to work on-site in Ahmedabad.
