Job description

About the Role

At Lyft, our mission is to serve and connect communities by creating an inclusive and empowering workplace for all employees. Our Healthcare & Community Access team is revolutionizing how state Medicaid agencies, transit authorities, and transportation brokers address non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) and paratransit services. We collaborate with major NEMT brokers, governmental healthcare agencies, and transit bodies nationwide to enhance access to essential healthcare and services for those most in need.

This position requires a passionate, hardworking, and customer-focused individual who wishes to make a meaningful difference by solving transportation challenges affecting vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio comprising healthcare and transit partnerships, including NEMT brokers, transportation management firms, healthcare API collaborators, and transit agencies.
  • Cultivate trusted relationships with key decision-makers and operational teams within partner organizations, identifying stakeholders who drive expansion.
  • Develop and execute strategies aimed at achieving consistent quarter-over-quarter growth, prioritizing accounts and opportunities based on return on investment.
  • Lead regular business reviews presenting performance metrics, analysis, and strategic suggestions.
  • Gain and apply in-depth knowledge of Lyft's product offerings, including web platforms and API integrations, to tailor solutions that meet partner requirements.
  • Collaborate across departments such as Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Public Policy by providing partner insights and feedback.
  • Conduct productive sales meetings with clear objectives and follow-through, effectively qualifying opportunities.
  • Represent Lyft at industry events and conferences related to healthcare, NEMT, and transit.
  • Support the preparation and submission of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated success in sales, business development, or account management with a proven ability to grow accounts and achieve sales targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation capabilities, adaptable to diverse audiences.
  • Strong perseverance, work ethic, and innovative approach in lead discovery, opportunity qualification, and closing sales.
  • Analytical mindset comfortable interpreting data to assess account performance, discern patterns, and surface growth opportunities.
  • Capacity to quickly learn and understand complex or technical product environments.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to manage changing priorities within a fast-paced setting.
  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to work seamlessly across multiple teams and departments.
  • Preferred experience in non-emergency medical transportation, paratransit, healthcare partnerships, or the transit and transportation sector.
  • Bachelor's degree is a requirement.

Employee Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, with supplemental programs available upon enrollment.
  • Access to mental health resources and support.
  • Family planning and building assistance benefits.
  • Child care and pet care assistance programs.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
  • Paid time off includes 12 recognized holidays plus discretionary paid leave for salaried employees and 15 days for hourly workers.
  • Generous paid parental leave totaling 18 weeks for biological, adoptive, and foster parents.
  • Subsidized commuter benefits to promote sustainable transportation.
  • Monthly Lyft ride credits and free Lyft Pink subscription membership.

Work Arrangement and Salary Details

This role emphasizes in-office collaboration, requiring presence on-site three days each week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) in their San Francisco office.
