Job description

About the role

Hopper’s Fintech team is hiring an Account Lead to help expand and strengthen fintech solutions with airline partners across the Middle East. In this position, you will partner with airlines to introduce new products, improve and scale existing offerings, and uncover fresh opportunities that support business growth while elevating the traveler journey.

You will sit at the crossroads of strategy, product creation, and partnership management. The work involves direct collaboration with airline stakeholders so that Hopper’s fintech products stay aligned with partner goals and success measures. This role calls for strong people skills, strategic thinking, creativity, and the ability to analyze complex airline environments and turn ideas into measurable outcomes.

What you will do

  • Develop and nurture high-value relationships with airline partners, learning their needs, pain points, and opportunities in fintech.
  • Lead the creation and launch of new fintech products for airlines, shaping product direction and coordinating closely with internal teams to keep everything aligned with partner objectives and success metrics.
  • Work with airlines to refine and expand current fintech solutions so they better support changing business needs and generate more ancillary revenue.
  • Own product implementations and delivery for multiple accounts, including project coordination, stakeholder management, documentation, user acceptance testing, and issue resolution.
  • Use analytical tools and available data to track product performance, understand customer input, and guide improvements with evidence-based decisions.
  • Partner with internal teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and customer success to deliver smooth and effective product experiences.
  • Keep track of fintech and travel market developments to anticipate change and identify new innovation opportunities.

What the ideal candidate brings

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication ability, with the confidence to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on ability to prototype products, features, or workflows using AI tools such as LLMs including Claude, Gemini, and ChatGPT.
  • Demonstrated experience building, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships.
  • Strong analytical capability and comfort making decisions based on data.
  • Creative, strategic thinking for spotting opportunities in fintech and travel.
  • Well-developed project management and organization skills.
  • Exposure to airline operations, business challenges, and revenue streams is a strong advantage.
  • Native Arabic fluency and strong English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with partners and stakeholders across the Middle East and North Africa.

Perks and benefits

  • Competitive compensation along with the potential upside of pre-IPO equity, within a well-funded startup that has already proven its model.
  • Carrot Cash travel stipend.
  • Flexdesk All Access Pass and a work-from-home stipend.
  • An entrepreneurial environment where testing limits and taking calculated risks is part of daily work.
  • Direct, open communication with management and senior leadership.
  • Small, agile teams that allow individuals to make a substantial impact.

Contractor and compliance details

This opportunity is structured as an independent contractor engagement in Oman, supporting the Hopper Cloud / HTS business unit. The selected professional will work as an external service provider rather than as an employee under Oman Labour Law (Royal Decree 53/2023).

Because Oman requires expatriates to have local visa sponsorship (Kafala), the contractor must already have the legal right to work either as a freelancer or through their own registered business entity. The contractor is responsible for all local tax and social insurance obligations, as well as any applicable Omanisation compliance requirements.

The arrangement is governed by a commercial services agreement and does not include company-sponsored employee benefits, statutory end-of-service gratuity, or paid leave that would normally apply under a standard sponsored employment contract.

About Hopper

Hopper is building a leading global travel platform across its consumer app, website, and B2B business, HTS (Hopper Technology Solutions). The company uses large-scale data and machine learning to combine travel services with proprietary fintech products, helping travelers access more transparency, flexibility, and savings.

Its platform serves hundreds of millions of travelers worldwide. The app has been downloaded more than 120 million times and is especially popular with Gen Z and millennial users. Beyond the consumer app, Hopper has grown into a travel fintech provider, commerce platform, and global travel agency supporting some of the world’s largest brands.

Through HTS, Hopper powers partners’ direct channels by integrating fintech products into their sites or by running end-to-end travel portals. The partner network includes major names such as Capital One, Nubank, Air Canada, Uber, CommBank, Flair Airlines, and others.

Recent company highlights include billions of dollars in travel and travel-fintech sales annually, strong customer satisfaction for products such as Cancel for Any Reason and Flight Disruption Assistance, and strong repeat purchase behavior among customers who add fintech products to their bookings.

HTS now represents more than 75% of the business, and Hopper has raised over $750 million USD in private capital. The company has also been recognized by Fast Company as the #1 most innovative company in travel. Hopper states that AI-driven tools are used to support application review, and that submitting an application means acknowledging the use of automated screening technology.
