Job description
About the Role
This position sits within LinkedIn Marketing Solutions and is focused on helping mid-market customers achieve measurable business results through digital marketing strategy. You will serve as both a strategic partner and an operator, guiding customers on how to connect marketing spend to real business outcomes. The role uses a single-point-of-contact model, with ownership of both strategy and optimization for a portfolio of accounts.
The role is based in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, or Detroit. LinkedIn’s flexible work model is hybrid, so work will be split between home and a LinkedIn office on designated days based on team and business needs.
You will manage a portfolio of 25 to 40 parent accounts and use your commercial judgment, data-driven approach, and relationship-building skills to influence investment decisions and grow customer value across the full marketing funnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and run a strategic plan for your portfolio, balancing efficient outreach with deeper, high-value engagement on priority accounts.
- Develop trusted customer relationships by understanding business goals, marketing priorities, success measures, and pain points across the funnel.
- Lead consultative conversations grounded in data, using insights to shape strategy, influence decisions, and link campaign performance to business results.
- Design and execute tailored marketing strategies that align LinkedIn offerings with customer objectives and support both near-term performance and long-term growth.
- Show return on investment through measurement, value reviews, and ongoing optimization recommendations that encourage further spend.
- Work across multiple stakeholders and decision-makers to build alignment, earn support, and speed up buying decisions.
- Grow revenue by identifying expansion opportunities, increasing product adoption, and widening share of wallet across the book of business.
- Maintain accurate forecasting, clean pipeline management, and strong operational discipline to support predictable results.
- Continuously deepen your knowledge of LinkedIn Marketing Solutions, digital marketing strategy, and industry trends to clearly differentiate the platform’s value.
Qualifications
Required experience
- At least 3 years of direct account management experience on ad platforms or in performance media/advertising sales.
- At least 2 years in a customer-facing sales or account management role with quota responsibility.
- Hands-on experience using data and tools to manage a portfolio and guide decisions.
Preferred background
- Experience in-platform with performance media sales or account management, such as Meta, Google, LinkedIn, or Pinterest.
- A strong record of consistently meeting or exceeding quota in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
- Ability to forecast accurately and execute business plans with rigor and consistency.
- Strong skill in turning data into insights and shaping a persuasive story that drives customer action.
- Experience influencing complex buying groups, including senior-level stakeholders.
- Ability to build long-term, trust-based partnerships and act as a strategic advisor.
- Deep knowledge of digital marketing, including full-funnel strategy, measurement, and account-based marketing.
- Comfort operating both strategically and tactically within a portfolio model covering 25 to 40 parent accounts.
- Strong communication skills across virtual, phone, and written channels, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Highly organized and structured, with the ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
- Experience with LinkedIn solutions or similar ad platforms, plus tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, or Gong.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
Compensation
The target pay range for this role is USD 133,000 to 190,000 in on-target earnings. Final compensation will depend on factors such as skills, depth of experience, certifications, and the work location. The package may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentive plans.
