This Senior Associate position within Corporate Strategic Finance is based in our Mountain View and Sunnyvale offices, combining remote and in-office work arrangements tailored to meet team needs. The role supports enterprise-wide financial planning, performance oversight, and strategic decision-making, with an emphasis on headcount and personnel expenses alongside broader finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to financial planning and strategic analyses involving critical business and cost drivers.
- Interpret financial data to produce actionable insights, identify risks and opportunities, and formulate recommendations.
- Collaborate with Strategic Finance teams and cross-functional partners to collect inputs, harmonize assumptions, and uphold consistent planning and reporting standards across the company.
- Present financial data through clear narratives, outlining pivotal factors, trade-offs, and decision points.
- Manage recurring Corporate Strategic Finance cycles such as annual planning, forecasting, monthly close activities, and management reporting, ensuring precision and timely delivery.
- Oversee headcount planning governance, including maintaining calendars, stipulating input requirements, tracking dependencies, and ensuring assumption documentation consistency.
- Enhance financial models, reporting tools, and operating processes; utilize automation and approved AI tools to boost efficiency, speed analysis, reinforce controls, and elevate insight quality and consistency.
- Compile, transform, reconcile, and synthesize information from varied systems to assess performance, trends, and forecasting accuracy.
- Work with finance systems and data stakeholders to refine data definitions, reporting processes, quality, and reconciliation protocols.
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to gauge financial risk, forecast uncertainties, and identify mitigation strategies related to headcount, personnel costs, and strategic finance priorities.
- Promote an inclusive and cooperative team environment, cultivating trusted relationships across finance and other departments.
- Exhibit curiosity, sound judgment, accountability, and openness to mastering new challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related discipline, with a minimum of three years’ experience in finance, accounting, consulting, investment banking, or equivalent sectors.
- Proficiency in financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting within corporate or business finance contexts preferred.
- Experienced in developing financial models and quantitative analyses to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
- Adept at analyzing extensive datasets and reconciling data across multiple sources.
- Familiarity with financial systems, advanced Excel, and data manipulation tools such as SQL.
- Experience leveraging AI tools or automation to streamline workflows, enhance operational productivity, generate insights, or improve reporting accuracy.
- Proven ability to maintain accuracy when handling complex financial information and managing concurrent priorities in dynamic settings.
- Strong communication skills, capable of articulating financial concepts and recommendations effectively to diverse stakeholders.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $107,000 to $172,000 annually, complimented by potential performance bonuses, stock options, benefits, and other incentive compensation elements, with exact packages varying by individual qualifications, expertise, certifications, and location.
