Role Overview
Queen's Crescent School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis. This role involves supporting pupils across the curriculum to actively engage in classroom activities and facilitate their educational progress.
Working Hours and Contract
- Part-time role working 26.25 hours per week
- Term time only (38 weeks per year, excluding teacher development days)
- Typical work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:55am to 12:15pm and 1:15pm to 3:10pm
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and wider staff to tailor support for individual pupils or groups
- Assist in delivering planned learning activities and reinforcing essential skills
- Support positive behavior management and foster emotional wellbeing
- Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and a positive learning attitude
- Provide assistance to pupils with additional needs including SEND, including personal care and specific requirements

Queen’s Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school in Chippenham with over 400 pupils. - Salary band: D4-D6 (Full-time equivalent £25,185-£25,989), actual salary £14,975 - £15,453 per annum pro rata
