Job Details
- Employment type: Part-time or full-time
- Work hours: Evenings
- Compensation: $14 per hour, paid weekly
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all floor types through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming
- Handle chemical cleaners and cleaning machinery carefully to avoid damage to flooring and surroundings
- Maintain restrooms, meeting areas, hallways, and entrances in a clean state
- Empty trash receptacles appropriately and operate compactors for certain waste materials
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with suitable products and tools
- Spot treat carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing tasks
- Restock paper goods and sanitary materials as needed
- Adhere to the housekeeping schedule consistently
- Operate heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers when required
- Perform other tasks as assigned based on client or work requirements
Mandatory Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or at least six months’ experience in janitorial work
- Willingness to learn on the job through provided training
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and diligently
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial positions
- Knowledge of custodial standards and commercial cleaning procedures
- Familiarity with floor care methods including buffing and waxing
- Background in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
