About the Role
An exceptional opportunity is open for a commercially savvy General Manager to lead a customer-oriented entertainment and leisure facility in Cork. This full-time, permanent position involves complete operational ownership, focusing on driving strong commercial results, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team leadership.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee all facets of business operation including financial management, team leadership, and customer experience delivery.
- Manage budgets, analyze KPIs to identify revenue and efficiency improvements, and implement strategies for profitability growth.
- Lead daily operations ensuring high standards of service, cleanliness, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Manage cash handling, stock control, and administrative tasks effectively to support business operations.
- Lead and develop a large team by instilling a culture of high performance, accountability, and customer focus.
- Recruit and nurture talent, conduct performance reviews and coaching for employee growth and succession planning.
- Champion superior customer experiences by responding to feedback and fostering loyalty.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to support business goals.
Candidate Profile
- 5 to 7 years of senior management experience in retail, hospitality, leisure, or related sectors.
- Strong P&L ownership with experience managing businesses generating between €2 million and €5 million in revenue.
- Proven track record of revenue growth, profitability improvements, and cost management.
- Experience leading teams of 30 or more employees with a focus on cultivating engaging and productive work environments.
- Analytical mindset utilizing KPIs and reports for data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and multitasking abilities.
- Hands-on leadership style with practical problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business management software.
