Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer proficient in both Python and Typescript for a remote hourly contract opportunity. This role involves developing and maintaining production-grade applications, leading or assisting in codebase modernization projects, and collaborating with diverse teams to support AI training data processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain production applications using Python and Typescript.
- Manage or support initiatives involving codebase migration, refactoring, and technological upgrades.
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to prepare and refine data sets for artificial intelligence training purposes.
- Write clean, well-documented code in line with established engineering standards.
- Diagnose and solve complex problems spanning both technology stacks.
- Engage in peer code reviews to maintain high-quality software standards.
- Coordinate effectively with international teams, contributing during shared working hours.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrable professional experience in Python and Typescript development within live environments.
- Track record of successful codebase migrations, refactors, or modernization efforts.
- Knowledge of AI training data workflows or experience in data engineering related to AI.
- Exceptional communication abilities suited for remote teamwork.
- Thorough understanding of software engineering principles and system design methodologies.
- Capability to function well within distributed teams across multiple time zones.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Compensation and Work Conditions
- Hourly pay ranging from $30 to $100.
- Workload between 10 to 40 hours per week.
