Job description
Role Overview
We seek a Life & Health Best Practice Lead to join our Sales, Advice & Service team, focusing on nurturing the proficiency of Life and Health advisers through technical expertise, coaching, training, and best practice assistance.
Key Duties
- Deliver coaching and training sessions focused on Life & Health advisory technicalities.
- Create and facilitate learning programs, educational resources, and best practice materials.
- Analyze risk quality data and industry trends to pinpoint training gaps and development needs.
- Support the onboarding, accreditation, and ongoing education of advisers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and provider partners to ensure uniformity and compliance in advice procedures.
- Convert complex industry and technical details into accessible, engaging learning content.
- Lead initiatives for steady improvement and assist in integrating regulatory and process updates across the network.
Candidate Profile
- In-depth knowledge of Life & Health insurance products and the insurance sector.
- Experience in coaching, mentoring, or training capability enhancement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for relationship building.
- Ability to simplify complicated concepts and adapt learning to various audiences.
- Solid understanding of compliance, risk management, and quality control practices.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders without formal authority.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Hands-on experience with Life and Health insurance products.
- Successful track record developing capabilities and delivering educational programs.
- Prior experience in the insurance industry is mandatory.
- Possession of NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).
- Proven skills in building trusted relationships and influencing at multiple organizational levels.
