About the Role
Join Marriott International's Learning and Development (L+D) team as an intern, contributing to program management and training initiatives across the APEC region. This full-time position is based in Singapore and offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the hospitality sector's development discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Learning Specialist to coordinate training programs within the APEC region.
- Organize schedules for training sessions in cooperation with L+D Delivery Leads.
- Maintain and update the Training Calendar regularly.
- Send invitations and manage enrollments for programs.
- Confirm course participation and generate post-training evaluations and reports.
- Utilize learning platforms such as NovoEd and mHUB to oversee enrollments, cohorts, and participation.
- Mark course completions and create reports to track program progress.
- Enhance participants' learning experience through effective management and support.
- Observe and understand facilitation of virtual and in-person training workshops.
- Participate in various L+D projects and initiatives across multiple functions.
- Assist in managing International Management Trainee Networks (IMTNs) across different markets within APEC.
- Perform additional tasks as necessary to support business requirements.
Learning Objectives
- Acquire insight into Learning and Development functions within the hospitality industry across the APEC region.
- Understand the distinctions between Above Property and On-Property L+D operations.
- Explore the variety of training programs Marriott offers.
- Develop skills in program management critical to successful program delivery.
- Enhance the learning experience under Marriott's blended learning strategy.
- Build effective and positive relationships with team members throughout the L+D department.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled university student, passionate about and committed to pursuing a career in development.
- Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail with organized and structured work habits.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good analytical and numerical aptitude.
- Preferred fields of study include Social Sciences, Business Management, Economics, or Marketing.
- Applicants must be Singaporean citizens, Singapore Permanent Residents, or holders of a valid student or work holiday pass.
- Eligible students should be registered in universities located in Singapore, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the United States.
- Commitment to a six-month internship is required.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance in line with Marriott standards.
