Role Overview
Truework operates as an independent unit within Checkr and seeks an Associate Manager, Operations to lead the Manual Verifications team. This team is pivotal to the company's success, ensuring accurate, high-quality employment verifications that manage hundreds of thousands of monthly requests. The role emphasizes leadership, KPI oversight, quality control, team coaching, and continuous process enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of verification specialists with activities including performance management, coaching, scheduling, and disciplinary oversight.
- Monitor team and individual performance metrics, create weekly reports, maintain detailed records, and escalate significant issues to senior leadership.
- Conduct quality audits, analyze failure causes, and ensure deliverables comply with company standards and service level agreements.
- Identify trends and inefficiencies, develop and execute corrective plans to improve operations.
- Design and deliver training on quality standards, operational procedures, product knowledge, and customer profiles in partnership with senior team members.
- Collaborate with leadership on operational projects, stay informed on product changes and customer requirements, and ensure timely execution of cross-departmental tasks.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience in call center management, operations, or team leadership roles.
- At least 3 years experience in customer-facing positions.
- Over 2 years leading projects or peer groups towards shared objectives.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and critical thinking abilities to manage multiple priorities and devise solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
- Strategic, process-oriented mindset with a drive to prioritize, achieve results, and enhance workflows.
- Expertise in mentoring teams and utilizing data-centric problem solving for continuous improvement.
- Collaborative style, adept at cross-functional interaction, system navigation, and clear communication of expectations.
- Adaptable and well-organized, balancing competing priorities and adjusting to change effectively.
- A proactive, results-focused attitude with resilience and ownership for delivering impactful outcomes.
Compensation & Benefits
The position offers an annual salary range of $73,000 to $91,000 USD for Nashville, TN, adjusted based on geographic labor costs for remote roles. Benefits include a dynamic work atmosphere, learning allowances, competitive salary with equity potential, full medical/dental/vision coverage, up to $25,000 reimbursement for family planning services, flexible paid time off, and monthly wellness stipends. The company favors hybrid work with in-office presence of 3+ days weekly at hub locations including Nashville, with perks such as lunch, commuter subsidies, and snacks. Relocation assistance may be offered.
