About the Role
As a Store Lead reporting directly to the Store Manager at Moores Clothing in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, you will play a critical role in supporting the store team to reach sales targets and maintain operational excellence. Your responsibilities include coaching the team, fostering a positive and inclusive store environment, and managing store operations when acting as manager on duty, including opening and closing the store when scheduled.

Leadership Duties
- Collaborate with store management to lead staff in achieving sales, service, and operational goals during your shifts as manager on duty.
- Exemplify company values and serve as an active coach for staff development.
- Effectively communicate priorities and sales strategies to ensure the team is well-prepared to maximize store performance.
- Participate in recruitment and contribute to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Performance and Operations
- Support management in meeting business plans involving sales, customer service, and store operations.
- Use store reports to make informed decisions that help drive business results.
- Engage in business outreach initiatives and relay leads to the Store Manager.
- Identify improvement areas and assist in creating development plans with management.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to efficiently implement initiatives and complete daily operational tasks.
- Help train staff on internal operational procedures as assigned.
- Stay updated on corporate communications, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with executing programs that boost sales, service, operations, and brand consistency.
Workplace Culture
- Promote an inclusive and collaborative store culture where every voice is heard and valued.
- Encourage continuous learning by utilizing available training resources.
- Lead with enthusiasm and set a positive example for the team.
- Coordinate regular store meetings to keep staff informed on company updates.
Customer Experience
- Train staff to meet and exceed customer service standards to deliver an outstanding shopping experience and achieve high Net Promoter Scores.
- Utilize customer feedback to address and resolve any concerns effectively.
- Work alongside management to maintain visual merchandising standards and implement marketing promotions as directed.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Minimum one year of retail or sales experience.
- Creative with sound judgment and a strong understanding of business dynamics.
- Self-driven, results-focused, and strategic thinker.
- Excellent organizational and leadership capabilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication proficiency.
- Active listening and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to train and develop high-achieving store teams.
- Comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office, video conferencing, POS systems, and other applications.
- Physical ability to stand and walk most of the shift, frequently bend, squat, twist, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and distinguish fabric colors and patterns.

Compensation: The pay range is $19.42 to $25.25 per hour, with final salary set based on skills, experience, and local market conditions, including applicable wage laws.
