QA Tester (Manual/Functional)

About the Role

We are seeking a Manual/Functional QA Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, BC. This position requires working onsite at our office five days a week from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing on complex, new scenarios and features to ensure quality standards.
• Review and assess bugs and tasks reported by offshore testers prior to developer assignment.
• Track and follow up on critical and blocking issues promptly.
• Identify and file significant tasks for direct assignment to developers, collaborating closely with QA leads and the QA team.
• Monitor incremental changes to ensure adequate test coverage.
• Deliver comprehensive weekly reports detailing executed tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience within software testing roles.
• Good understanding of the software testing life cycle, including planning, designing test cases, and executing tests.
• Hands-on experience with mobile application testing.
• Skilled in performing end-to-end sanity, regression, smoke, and feature testing.
• Adept at analyzing test outcomes and bug reports.
• Experience coordinating in offshore-onshore team environments.
• Strong knowledge of defect management processes.
