Job Overview
The Contract Administrator will oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, accurate documentation, coordination across departments and clients, and supporting commercial activities to reduce risks while boosting operational effectiveness. This role is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia and reports directly to the Business Development Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Create, review, and manage client contracts, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and subcontractor contracts.
- Maintain comprehensive contract registers ensuring all documentation is correctly organized and controlled.
- Track contract milestones, renewal dates, expirations, and deliverable schedules.
- Liaise with Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Legal teams about contractual commitments.
- Analyze tender and contract documents for commercial and contractual risks.
- Draft contract-related correspondence including notifications, variation orders, claims, and amendments.
- Assist in commercial negotiations during bidding and after contract award phases.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and client contractual requirements.
- Participate in dispute resolution and seek clarifications with clients as necessary.
- Produce contract reports for management review.
Educational and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with FIDIC or equivalent contract frameworks is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of commercial and contractual practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
Experience Requirements
- Five to eight years of contract administration experience, ideally within Facility Management, Construction, or Engineering sectors.
Critical Skills and Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong negotiation capabilities.
- Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
- Expertise in managing documents efficiently.
- Robust analytical and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
