About the Role and Organization

As a Business Development Manager based in Bhubaneshwar, you will contribute to MakeMyTrip's rapidly growing Hotels division, one of the organization's largest sectors. This team facilitates exceptional travel experiences by curating a vast portfolio of domestic and international hotel stays. Your focus will be on independent hotels across India, fostering strong partnerships and driving portfolio performance through innovative, technology-driven strategies.

Core Responsibilities

  • Engage with and manage relationships with independent hotels, ensuring continuous account management and sustainable growth within the region.
  • Identify and onboard new hotel properties to expand the portfolio.
  • Conduct frequent visits to partner hotels to provide expert advice, analyze key performance indicators, and offer recommendations aligned with industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement business plans aimed at increasing net revenue, balancing inventory availability and demand, and maintaining competitive pricing across platforms.
  • Build and maintain supplier relationships while training hotel partners on usage of extranet systems and wholesale operations.
  • Prepare and analyze detailed monthly production reports, market intelligence, and sales plans segmented by geography and service type.
  • Regularly report insights on market trends and industry developments to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Lead networking, deal initiation, negotiation, and closure processes to enhance hotel marketing and business growth, benefiting both partners and their customers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Master's degree from a reputable institution.
  • Have 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in sales, travel trade, key account management, contracting, or B2B sales.
  • Preferably experienced in managing multiple partner accounts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
